Archer Public Affairs (“APA”) is pleased to announce that Peg Callahan-Kuskin has joined the firm as a director. Peg joins Archer Public Affairs following a prominent career in the legislative political arena, with over 20 years of experience working with Republican and Democratic leaders in the Pennsylvania Senate and House of Representatives. Peg worked with the Republican leadership in the Pennsylvania Senate as a legislative specialist and has served as a special assistant to the Pennsylvania Secretary for Commerce. She was also the Legislative Director for the Pennsylvania Housing Finance Authority.

Peg brings a wealth of experience and knowledge to the position through her extensive background in government affairs, legislative policy, political strategy, and issue advocacy. Her experience has focused on numerous issues affecting health care professionals, community and economic development, the hospitality industry and manufacturing concerns. She has also been instrumental in procurement issues and budget related matters for private corporations and non-profit organizations.

Over the course of her career, Peg has been an integral part of the Pennsylvania political scene, and has provided representation to several professional organizations. Her most recent successes include enactment of key legislation for the Pennsylvania Dental Association (Professional Licensure and Insurance Laws); American Lung Association (Tobacco 21 and Clean Indoor Legislation); Pennsylvania Psychological Association (PennPsyPact); American Massage Therapy Association – PA Chapter (the Licensing of Massage Therapists); March of Dimes (New Born Screening Legislation); Licensed Nurse-Midwives (Prescriptive Authority); Perfusionists (Scope of Practice Legislation); and the Pennsylvania State Correctional Officers (Heart and Lung Legislation).

A long-time volunteer for the Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis Association (ALS), in 2022 Peg was able to get a 77% increase in the Pennsylvania State Budget to increase in home care.

Peg received a Masters of Psychosocial Science from Pennsylvania State University and a Bachelor of Arts Degree from Bloomsburg University.
