WASHINGTON, D.C. (February 27, 2020): With a move that continues its strategic growth in the Mid-Atlantic region, Archer Public Affairs LLC (APA) is pleased to announce the opening of a new office location in Washington, D.C. The new space will extend APA’s reach to offer client service at a federal level, from a team of professionals with demonstrated expertise in cannabis, transportation, energy, real estate, healthcare and other industries.

John J. Taylor, Esq. Director of APA’s Harrisburg-based office, is excited about establishing the firm’s presence in this important market. “The addition of our Washington, D.C. office enhances APA’s regional presence and robust capabilities adding depth and geographic breadth to our services and evolving needs of our clients” says Taylor.

Richard S. Mroz, Esq., Senior Director - Strategy & Regulatory Affairs of APA, adds, “with our ongoing work to advise and advocate regionally and nationally for regulatory and public affairs, opening this office gives us the ability to better serve our clients and it is great to work with a team of professionals that have the experiences in the statehouses or in the nation’s capital.”

William J. Caruso, Esq., Managing Director of APA and Partner at affiliate Archer & Greiner and Chair of the firm’s Cannabis Law Practice, is primed to be a key player in the new office, as APA joins the ranks as a top government affairs firm at the federal level. “With our new presence in the heart of the U.S. Capitol, we’re further equipped to bring our diverse problem-solving abilities, impeccable client service and track record of success to the region and beyond.”

The New Jersey-based Caruso is no stranger to the D.C. legal landscape — for over a decade, he served as Chief of Staff for a U.S. Representative— and is poised to offer his extensive knowledge as APA begins a new chapter. In his nearly two decades of government experience, Caruso has worked with a broad range of policy areas, including economic development, education, defense, and most notably, cannabis.

“With my past experience working alongside a U.S. Representative, I am thrilled to be back on familiar turf, working at a federal level,” Caruso said. “APA’s expansion will hone our team’s individual and collective strengths to enhance our ability to deliver strategic results for our clients.

The Washington office will be located at 300 New Jersey Ave, NW, Suite No. 900, Washington, D.C.
