Jennifer Ebersole

Biography

Jennifer puts her 20 years of experience in public policy and government affairs to work for Archer Public Affairs clients. With her focus centered around issues related to health and aging, Jennifer draws on her impressive background working with nonprofit health organizations. She has had a highly-respected career, which most recently included serving as Senior Director of Public Policy at the Alzheimer’s Association. There she served on the management team of the Delaware Valley and Greater Pennsylvania Chapters of the Association, overseeing all executive, legislative and regulatory levels of state government on behalf of the Alzheimer’s Association public policy functions, in addition to oversight of the Association’s Pennsylvania Advocacy Program to mobilize grassroots advocates around state and federal public policies.

Jennifer spent nearly seven years serving as Pennsylvania Government Relations Director at the American Heart Association (AHA), Great Rivers Affiliate, where she directed all legislative, executive and regulatory activities serving as principal lobbyist in Pennsylvania. She developed, directed and executed issue campaign plans and directed grassroots activities. During her time with the Association, Jennifer received the AHA National Rome Betts Award of Excellence for Advocacy, Pennsylvania Emergency Health Services Council Joel E. Grottenthaler Memorial Award, and AHA Excellence in Health Strategies Award.

Earlier in her career, Jennifer gained extensive legislative, regulatory, public policy and advocacy experience within the legislative and executive branches of Pennsylvania state government acting as a legislative and policy specialist for the Pennsylvania Department of Health. She served as a policy advisor to the Secretary of Health, Governor, executive staff, program staff, interest groups and other constituencies. Jennifer first gained her political footing serving as Legislative Specialist for Pennsylvania State Senator Jay Costa. 

Throughout her career, Jennifer has secured notable legislative and budget successes for the organizations she represented, including: Alzheimer’s Association (Improvements to early detection and diagnosis of Alzheimer’s); American Heart Association (Pennsylvania’s original Clean Indoor Air Act; pulse oximetry screening for newborns; secured first-time bicycling and walking/multimodal transportation funding; AED good Samaritan protections; stroke systems of care); and the PA Department of Health (breast and cervical cancer early detection screening; sexual assault testing; Interagency Coordinating Council on Child Health).

A lifelong Pennsylvania resident, Jennifer received her B.A. in Political Science from Kutztown University. She was most recently honored as one of Central Penn Business Journal’s “Healthcare Heroes of 2024 for Advancement and Innovation in Health Care.”
